Mushin-Do

“Do” means “way;" “Mu” means “no;" Shin means "mind/heart mind." Thus Mushin-Do is a martial art that stresses the ability to respond without thinking. The moves flow naturally and are always appropriate for the situation.
This is the most traditional and complex of the courses, is open to both men and women, and has a colored belt system (white, yellow, green, brown, black). A black belt in Mushin-Do takes between four to seven years, on average, largely dependant on how much time the student can spend on the training.
Mushin-Do has no competitive or sport element. We train for health & wellness, not for competition or tournaments. The ultimate aim of the martial arts is to become better people, for a better world.
